Carlo Fidanza
MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Carlo Fidanza was born in San Benedetto del Tronto on September 21st, 1976. He is an Italian politician, MEP first for The People of Freedom and then from the Brothers of Italy – National Alliance . In 2005 he was appointed councilor in the town of Desio , having the responsibility of Civic Services and computerization. In 2006 he was elected to the City Council of Milan (position held until the end of the term in May 2011) on the List of the National Alliance.
Along with the birth of the People of Freedom Party he assumed the role of Vice Parent Vicar of the party in Milan and in July 2009 he was elected President of the Council Committee. In the European elections from June 2009, he was elected MEP for the People of Freedom in the North-West constituency (Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta). In the European Parliament, he was a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, a substitute member of the Commission Agriculture, EU-member delegations of Afghanistan and the EU-South Africa and a member of the Bureau of the EPP Group. He was a member of the National Executive and Deputy Regional Coordinator of the People of Freedom in Lombardy. He left the party in December 2012, and joined the Brothers of Italy – the center-right National Party promoted by the new Giorgia Meloni, Ignazio La Russa and Guido Crosetto.
In January 2013 he was elected Deputy Head of Delegation in the European Parliament on behalf of the Brothers of Italy, the delegation for regulatory reasons, including representatives of several center-right parties. From November 2013 until the end of the mandate has been Head of Delegation of the Brothers of Italy – National Alliance in the European Parliament. In the European elections of 25 May 2014, Carlo reported 12738 votes in the list of the Brothers of Italy-National Alliance in the North-West constituency but not been elected as the party did not pass the electoral threshold at the national level.
